Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at SGMUN
SGMUN is firmly committed to upholding the standards of diversity, equity, and inclusion. While Model UN is an activity that encourages cooperation and debate, it also risks enabling harmful behavior. Such behavior may result in a warning, ineligibility for awards, or even expulsion from the conference. Types of behavior that we will not tolerate include any speech or action that denigrates or incites violence against an individual based on their background, the use of slurs or negative stereotyping, physical or verbal abuse, and more. This is not intended to be an exhaustive list. Rather, it is intended to help guide the choices delegates make while at SGMUN. If you have any questions, please reach out to the dais of your committee or the upper secretariat.
